The Camden Watch Company Reproduce Once Limited Edition Timepiece to benefit the charity Camden Giving
With charities struggling across the UK since the start of the pandemic, The Camden Watch Company (www.CamdenWatchCompany.com), an independent British brand based in the heart of Camden founded by wife and husband team Anneke Short and Jerome Robert, have reproduced their once limited edition timepiece benefitting CAMDEN GIVING. All profits from the sale of the timepiece go directly to the charity.
Inspired by Victorian symbolism, the Camden Giving Limited Edition Watch features an intricate, hand-drawn heart design in the centre of the watch. The light green is taken from the Camden Giving logo and is also used as a colour that represents renewal, safety and most importantly, life.
The Camden Watch Company took the symbolism for charity, the heart, and made it their own. Inspired by the tattoo culture of Camden Town, Annke and Jerome, founders of The Camden Watch Company, went back to their roots and took to their sketchpads. The result is an anatomical, hand-drawn heart with a punch of tattoo styling that proudly sits at the centre of the dial.
The emblazoned dial also has the motto of motto of Camden, a motto that not only describes the company, but one that also perfectly sums up this collaboration; Non Sibi Sed Toti, (Not For One But For All).
The green colour taken from the Camden Giving logo is used for the seconds hand and the green strap version, a light green that also symbolises renewal, safety and most importantly, life.
Each is priced at £159.
Anneke Short, Co-Founder of The Camden Watch Company said: “From the very beginning of The Camden Watch Company, it was important to us that we give back to the community that we love so much. We had been searching for a charity project to work on for quite some time, one that fit the brand and that we ourselves felt passionate about, when Natasha, the director of Camden Giving, got in touch.”
Jerome Robert, Co-Founder of The Camden Watch Company said: “Initially – she was just gauging our interest to see if there was anything we could do to help them with their Camden Giving week, but I knew that this was our opportunity to do so much more. And that is how the Camden Giving edition was born.”
