The Coronas Announce 3 Uk Shows In April 2027

Irish rock band The Coronas have announced 3 new UK shows taking place before their European tour in April 2027. These include April 22nd at New Century Locker in Manchester, April 23rd at KOKO in London, and April 25th at The Caves in Edinburgh. Ticket go on general Sale this Friday 6th November 2026 at 10:00am.

“It’s been almost 2 years since we’ve toured in the UK so we’re honestly buzzing to be heading back to London, Manchester and Edinburgh.” Says Danny O’Reilly. “These shows will be part of a global tour promoting our new record ‘All Things Considered’, which will be out in February 2027, but also a celebration of 20 years together as the Coronas.”

Earlier this month, The Coronas released their first-ever double A-side single ‘End The Day With You’ / ‘My Biggest Nightmare’ today, pairing two very different songs that show contrasting sides of the Dublin band. For a band who regard playing live as their favourite part of the job, ‘My Biggest Nightmare’ draws on a particularly vivid recurring dream.

“Maybe once a year, I have the same dream,” says Danny. “We’re on stage and Conor, Graham and I are all performing different songs at the same time. The audience is walking out and I’m panicking. It’s such a vivid dream that it wasn’t that difficult to write about it and that’s how the lyrics to My Biggest Nightmare came about.”

Over more than 20 years together, with innumerable tours of Ireland, Europe, North America and Australia, The Coronas have amassed the kind of stories that could only come from spending much of your adult life in a band.

There was the St Patrick’s Day in Tokyo, Japan, when the Dublin band found themselves acting as Grand Marshals of the parade. There was meeting and supporting Paul McCartney, and receiving some memorable advice from the Beatle. There have been countless gigs in places they never imagined they would reach when they first started out and, also, more than a few things that didn’t go according to plan.

There was the Sydney show where Danny confidently greeted the audience with “Hello Melbourne”, unfortunately while the gig was being streamed live around the world. There have been torn muscles, trapped nerves and ankle ligaments, while Knoxy once managed to split Danny’s head open with his bass guitar on stage at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin.

And then there were the 50 unfortunate American fans who bought copies of The Coronas’ debut album Heroes or Ghosts after a show, took them home and discovered that, thanks to a manufacturing mix-up, their brand-new Coronas CDs actually contained The Best of Joe Dolan. Through all the highs, lows and occasional mishaps, the constant has been the relationship between the band and their audience.

“The symbiotic relationship between the group and their fans is just one of the things that make The Coronas so special” – Hot Press

The Coronas emerged at a time when bands still sold CDs from the back of vans and at merch desks. Since then, Danny, Knoxy and Conor have navigated an industry transformed almost beyond recognition, while steadily building an audience at home and internationally.

More than 20 years later, the scale may have changed, but the fundamentals haven’t. They are still writing songs together. They still regard themselves, first and foremost, as a live band. And, as the immediate sell-out of their recent intimate Irish theatre tour and four nights at Dublin’s 3Olympia this Christmas demonstrate, that relationship with their audience remains as strong as ever. Tickets for the December shows sold out within minutes.

The release of the new music coincided with the announcement of a major outdoor hometown show at Fairview Park, Dublin, on Friday 18 June 2027. The 8,000-capacity concert will celebrate 20 years of The Coronas, from the early days of Heroes or Ghosts through to multiple platinum albums and four consecutive No.1 studio albums on the Official Irish Albums Chart. Tickets for the Dublin show are available now, priced €59.90 including booking fee.

Before Fairview Park next summer, The Coronas will take to the road again, with the newly announced UK dates, and European dates across Germany and the Netherlands in April and May.
