The Danson Stables Pub in Bexleyheath has Re-opened after a £300k investment - London TV

The Danson Stables Pub in Bexleyheath has Re-opened after a £300k investment

The hidden gem of Bexleyheath, the Danson Stables, has reopened its doors after a £300,000 investment, that has transformed the pub and given it a new lease of life.

Built in the 1700s and originally a stable block, the Grade-II listed building is surrounded by countryside and is the perfect place for locals to enjoy classic pub grub in a traditional and relaxing setting. Its refurbishment has updated both the inside and out, meaning pubgoers will quickly feel at home whether they’re sat among the plush furniture indoors, or by the brand-new and welcoming fire pit in the ‘secret’ garden, finished just in time for summer.

A range of food & drink packages and an all-new function room, make the Danson Stables the perfect setting for a whole range of events, from office parties to birthdays and even wedding receptions.

A new menu boasts a wide range of heart-warming meals, showcasing a wide range of meat, vegetarian, vegan and fresh, seasonal dishes. Customers can also whet their appetite with a wide range of burgers, grills and sandwiches every day of the week.

Regular offers will run throughout the week, giving customers more bang for their buck whenever they visit, whether it’s for half price pies on Monday, burger and a drink on Wednesday or steak night on Thursdays. Afternoon Tea will also be available for those looking for a special treat.

The pub boasts a selection pale ales and craft ales – including Bexley’s Own Beer – that are rotated to bring Bexleyheath the best in regional, local and seasonal specials. Customers will also be able to choose from a range of bottled beers and ciders, as well as a spirit list that includes an extensive gin collection. Coming with a handy flavour profile guide, customers will be able to choose everything from floral blends such as Boë Violet or Bloom to the classic Juniper tastes of Tanqueray and Bombay Sapphire.

General Manager, Darrell Appleby said: “I am really excited to be opening the Danson Stables’ doors again for the local community. We have given a new lease of life to this historic building for all to enjoy and have made additions that will help it play an even bigger part in the town. With a great menu and ales from nearby breweries, we are poised to provide the very best food and drink from the heart of Bexleyheath within the heart of Danson Park.”
