The Ealing Film Festival Returns To Its West London Home
The Ealing Film Festival returns for its annual celebration of bold storytelling, independent cinema and diverse creative voices – taking place in glorious downtown Ealing, the cradle of global cinema, on 2nd, 3rd & 4th October 2025 across some of West London’s finest film venues, including Act One, Ealing Picturehouse, and Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery!
Audiences will experience a wide-ranging, kaleidoscopic programme of short films spanning wildly-different genres – from drama and documentary to sci-fi, horror and animation to experimental work. Alongside these carefully-curated screenings, the festival will host panels, Q&A sessions and workshops – offering unique opportunities for audiences and creators to engage with the beautiful art and wondrous craft of filmmaking!
Founded in 2020 by Annemarie Flanagan, Alan Granley and the late, much-missed Peter Gould, the festival began as a ray of pure cinematic arc light during the dark days of the pandemic and has grown into a vibrant, multi-venue global celebration of film – in the West London home of the world’s oldest working movie studio. Since its inception, the festival has screened thousands of films from more than 40 countries, championing new talent while maintaining a strong connection to Ealing’s rich cinematic history.
Ealing Film Festival 2025 will be the most exciting yet, culminating in the Saturday 4th October EFF Awards Ceremony hosted once more by Forbidden Planet’s Andrew Sumner. This year, the festival is supported by a range of fantastic sponsors and contributors, including the mighty Ealing Studios itself (backing the Comedy Award), and Halo post-production services (donating a phenomenal prize for the overall winning film). We’re also thrilled to welcome an incredible group of patrons, including Amanda Redman, Mel Giedroyc, Mark Kermode, and Susan Simnett. Their involvement brings immense experience, industry insight, and professional enthusiasm to the festival, supporting the Ealing Film Festival’s ongoing mission to spotlight fresh voices and unique stories that resonate far beyond the screen.
Tickets for all of our screenings and events are available now through the festival website: ealingfilmfestival.com
