The Egerton Hotel Launches Bespoke “Paw-Trait” Experience for Four-Legged Guests

Internationally-famed for the pedigree of its dog-friendly services, The Egerton House Hotel in Knightsbridge is elevating its four-legged offering to new heights with the launch of an exciting new, bespoke Paw-Trait Experience.

Thanks to an exclusive partnership with Red Carnation Hotels’ resident artist, Shelley Levy (known as “ShelleyTheArtist”), guests and their beloved pooches can now enjoy a three-hour Afternoon Tea and Paw-Trait sitting, as she artfully captures a one-of-a-kind portrait of your furry best friend.

Warm, witty and entertaining, ShelleyTheArtist, sets guests at ease; her unique artistic style allows her to unobtrusively capture the essence of each beloved dog on paper, while humans and hounds alike relax and enjoy generous tiers of home-made treats.

A selection guaranteed to get tails wagging, The Egerton’s Doggy Afternoon Tea includes a chicken liver meatloaf, peanut butter biscuits and a carrot cupcake, lovingly made by the hotel’s kitchen with ingredients to promote a healthy coat and a happy dog.

Humans are just as thoughtfully catered for with an Afternoon Tea that includes delicious finger sandwiches, scones, and a smorgasbord of sweet treats, accompanied by a choice of loose-leaf teas. Champagne can be added for those who want an extra sparkle, or the experience can be complimented by one of The Egerton’s signature Martinis (£25), for which the hotel is lauded across the capital.

Creating portraits that are as unique as each beloved pet, ShelleyTheArtist channels her passion for capturing stories, producing one-of-a-kind artworks that reflect each pup’s individual style and character. The whimsical way in which she can distil the most authentic and animated essence of her subjects has made her the portrait artist of choice across LA, with a client list that includes Hollywood’s dog-loving royalty, such as Melissa McCarthy.

Costing £550, each Egerton House Hotel Paw-Trait Experience package includes:

· A three-hour Afternoon Tea session including the portrait sitting, Afternoon Tea for two people and a Doggy Afternoon Tea for one pooch
· A bespoke, A4 dog portrait in watercolour, signed by ShelleyTheArtist
· A picture mount and envelope to take the portrait home in

Shelley “ShelleyTheArtist” Levy is a self-taught painter and teacher who spent many years in Los Angeles before returning to her birthplace in London. Drawing from life is her passion, and colour is her language of expression, using various mediums such as watercolours, pencils, markers, acrylics, oils, and oil pastels. In addition to her celebrity clientele, she has completed commissions for LAX Airport, Sony Pictures, Trader Joe’s, BAFTA, as well as prestigious US-based pet businesses, Chateau Marmutt and Hollywood Hounds.
