The Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic at The Hurlingham Club is back with a new format and stellar line up

Lleyton Hewitt, Xavier Malisse, Mansour Bahrami, Casper Ruud, Marcos Baghdatis, Denis Shapovalov, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Carlos Alcaraz are among the first players to join the star-studded line-up for this year’s Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, returning to The Hurlingham Club between 21st – 26th June. New for 2022, the event is being extended to include the ATP Champions Tour UK round that was previously Champions Tennis at The Royal Albert Hall, with weekend tickets available to the public for the first time.

Italian luxury fashion house Giorgio Armani has come on board as title partner of the prestigious and intimate event, where tennis fans can enjoy luxury hospitality and watch current top players and legends battle it out, as they look to get some final court time before Wimbledon.

Tennis legends including 2006 Australian Open semi-finalist Marcos Baghdatis and ‘X-Man’ Xavier Malisse will be joined on court by Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz, whose recent title win at the Rio Open made him the youngest winner of an ATP 500 event. The 18-year-old is currently ranked No. 16 in the world after moving up from No. 132 in the past 12 months. Joining Alcaraz from the ATP side will be Norwegian superstar and current No. 8, Casper Ruud, current no. 9, Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime, and current No. 14, Canadian Denis Shapovalov.

Also in attendance during the week will be fan favourite Mansour Bahrami, keen to entertain once again, following his latest appearance with British Star Emma Raducanu at the Royal Albert Hall event in November. Australian tennis icon Lleyton Hewitt, a Wimbledon Champion and former world No. 1 will also join the play. A host of other legends of the game will be announced soon.

Giorgio Armani is set to bring added elegance and style to the fan favourite event, with a specially-designed collection for on-court officials, umpires, ball kids and line judges, as well as on-site retail and unique new experiences for The Hurlingham Club’s members and their guests.

Tickets for the ATP Champions Tour weekend on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June, which start from £155 and include free flowing beer, wine, soft drinks and a private lounge area during the whole session, are available to buy beginning 24 March, here: www.giorgioarmanitennisclassic.com/tickets. Box seating is also available at £165.

Hospitality packages for Tuesday 21st – Friday 24th June start at £315pp for tables of 12 and are available to buy here: https://www.giorgioarmanitennisclassic.com/packages

Paul McCann, VP, Tennis Events at IMG, said: “The Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic is one of London’s most exclusive and intimate sporting events of the summer season, combining first-class tennis and unrivalled luxury in the beautiful grounds of The Hurlingham Club. We are excited to welcome Giorgio Armani, which will bring added style and unique new experiences to the event.

“We are also delighted to be extending the action into the weekend and offering tickets for the public to The Hurlingham Club for the first time, with the addition of the popular ATP Champions Tour’s Champions Tennis tournament.”

Some of the sport’s best players have competed at The Hurlingham Club over the tournament’s 26-year history, including Grand Slam champions Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Pete Sampras, Goran Ivanisevic and Mark Philippoussis. Previous players share over 250 Grand Slam titles combined and boast over 1,500 weeks as world number 1 between them.
