The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort unveils 30ft (10m) tall ‘Roxie’ LEGO® minifigure as a first look at Minifigure Speedway

It’s time to rev-up those engines after the world’s tallest LEGO® minifigure was unveiled to kick start the countdown to the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort’s brand-new roller coaster, Minifigure Speedway.

Weighing over 6 tonnes, standing at 30ft tall and complete with her glistening racing suit, the installation of the towering minifigure Roxie reveals a first look at the new attraction which opens this Easter.

Exclusive to the UK’s most loved family theme park, the giant minifigure took a specialist pit crew to install, as the official mascot of the new Minifigure Speedway coaster. Sure to be an awe-inspiring hit with kids and their families, Roxie now takes pride of place at the new Minifigure Speedway attraction which will be the world’s first LEGO® duelling coaster featuring Team Legends and Team Allstars cars that race forwards and in reverse, with a winning team every time.

Helen Bull, Divisional Director at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, said: “It’s a big day for all the team at the Resort to see the world’s tallest minifigure, Roxie, take pride of place in our new attraction, Minifigure Speedway. There’s nowhere else in the world you can see Roxie, she’s entirely bespoke to us here at LEGOLAND Windsor – we can’t wait for everyone to see her!”

Hannah ‘Phiz’ Phizacklea, Lead Creative on Minifigure Speedway at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort said: “The unveiling of Roxie as the world’s tallest LEGO minifigure is a dream come true for me. Growing up playing with LEGO and visiting the park, it feels very special to have been part of the team that dreamed up an authentic LEGO character.

“Roxie is a strong female role model, and it was important we created an iconic character that children can look up to – literally! Minifigure Speedway brings a real thrill element to the park especially for older kids who will love the competitiveness of racing against each other as one of the All Stars or Legends.”

Reaching speeds of up to 56km/h, the duelling coaster design has been inspired by the world’s great Speedway circuits, where racers will be immersed in a track like no other.

Featuring state-of-the-art technology and a dynamic dual-track layout, the £10m Minifigure Speedway development is part of the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort’s ambition to create a world class Resort destination of the future.

Tickets to LEGOLAND Windsor start from £35 per person, kids under 90cm go free. Tickets for 2024 season are now on sale and bookable at www.legoland.co.uk
