The London Home Show Continues to Attract Over 3,000 Aspiring Homeowners

Almost 3,100 budding buyers turned out for the 21st London Home Show on Saturday 26th April. Hosted by Share to Buy, the country’s leading online portal for affordable homeownership, the event marked the first show since the recent changes to Stamp Duty relief for first time buyers. Yet, the impressive turnout highlighted that aspiring homeowners remain undeterred and that a strong need for affordable homeownership solutions remains. The London Home Show has attracted over 83,000 hopeful buyers since it began in 2013.

The free-to-attend exhibition provided attendees with unparalleled access to essential information about home-buying schemes such as Shared Ownership, London Living Rent, Rent to Buy, Discount Full Ownership and more. Over 40 exhibitors made up the live event, with Abri Homes, L&Q, Peabody New Homes, NHG Homes, Guinness Homes, Legal & General Affordable Homes, SO Resi, Southern Housing New Homes, Aster Sales, SiteSales, Square Roots, Places for People, Sovereign Network Group and Tembo sponsoring the event.

Over half of attendees took full advantage of live Q&As and informative talks with industry specialists throughout the day, including home-buying sessions and affordability workshops. A highlight of the event programme, two Ask the Owner sessions provided a firsthand and unfiltered look at the Shared Ownership journey.

With expert advice, a wealth of resources, and the opportunity to register their interest in homes directly at the event, the show proved to be a one-stop shop for anyone looking to take their first step onto the property ladder.

Jade Turnstill, Head of Brand & Content at Share to Buy, comments: “In such a challenging market, where first time buyers face increasing hurdles to homeownership, events like the London Home Show are more essential than ever. The incredible turnout for the 21st show underscores just how much aspiring homeowners value access to clear, trustworthy information and support.

“Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue this momentum with future London Home Shows, while also expanding our reach regionally. Following the success of our Bristol Home Show in 2024, we’re thrilled to announce the first-ever Manchester Home Show in May, where we’ll bring the same wealth of expertise and resources to even more prospective buyers. Our mission remains steadfast: to empower hopeful homeowners, no matter where they are in their journey.”

The London Home Show will return to the QEII Centre in autumn 2025. Tickets will be released later this year. Visit the Share to Buy website to register an account and keep up to date with event announcements.

For those looking to step onto the property ladder in the North West, Share to Buy will be hosting its first ever Manchester Home Show on Saturday 31st May.
