THE LUNA CINEMA ANNOUNCES ITS 2023 LINEUP

With lighter evenings finally upon us, The Luna Cinema announces its highly-anticipated summer lineup for 2023, offering over 130 screenings at more than 30 breathtaking locations across the country. Pioneers of the open-air cinema, The Luna Cinema has welcomed over a million visitors since opening in 2008 and offers a perfectly scripted and fun night out for friends, couples and film lovers alike.

With a lineup of award winning films, family favourites and feel-good classics, The Luna Cinema’s 2023 summer programme marks its 15th year as the UK’s most renowned outdoor cinema.

With iconic venues serving as the backdrop for high-end cinematic magic, each screening offers the best quality audio and visuals for an immersive and unforgettable evening under the stars.

Returning venues in London include stunning heritage sights such as the majestic grounds of Hampton Court Palace. These stunning gardens, once coined as Henry VIII’s pleasure palace, provide a desirable backdrop for five nights of outdoor cinema this August.

Longer nights and rising temperatures make a night with Luna the perfect way for visitors to watch their favourite films at some of the most beautiful locations in the UK. Two types of tickets are available for each screening meaning attendees can opt for
premium director seat (limited availability) or bring their own blanket and seats for easy, comfortable lounging.

Films on show this year include the 2023 Oscar-winning Top Gun: Maverick and Everything, Everywhere All At Once as well as fan favourites Elvis, Magic Mike, Grease and Dirty Dancing. So whether it’s sitting back and relaxing, dancing and singing along or forming a conga line, The Luna Cinema provides the perfect films and settings for viewers to enjoy their night just the way they want to.

Having held over 1,200 summer screenings since 2015, The Luna Cinema is well-versed in delivering the ultimate premium cinema experience, with co-sponsors for the 2023 season including SKY and Visit The USA. Moreover, with impressive onsite options for food and drink, including The Luna Cinema bar with its new for 2023 sponsor, Malfy Gin, The Luna Cinema allows guests to bring their own picnic – perfect for alfresco feasting with friends or date night delights.

George Wood, founder of The Luna Cinema, says: “Since 2008, we’ve had over a million visitors attend our screenings with The Luna Cinema serving as the best example of open-air cinema in the UK. With this in mind, we’re thrilled to announce our 2023 programme, which is comprised of world-class venues and a fun-filled lineup of films. For more than a decade we’ve been a coveted part of the country’s summer schedule, much like events such as The Chelsea Flower Show and Wimbledon. We know that fans can’t wait to be back under the stars at one of our iconic venues this season, and there is no better way to kick-start the summer. As well as offering world-class screenings, The Luna Cinema serves as a social experience which allows visitors to fully immersive themselves in the highest form of cinematic magic.
