The Mac Factory launch New York cheese diner in Putney
The Mac Factory, London’s best-loved New York-inspired mac and cheese street food brand, is opening a NEW New York cheese diner on Putney high street in December.
The new 250 sq ft diner will throw open its doors on Tuesday 10th December and is celebrating by giving away FREE goey pots of Mac & Cheese to first 100 people who turn up from 11am.
The Mac Factory is famous for its instagrammable gourmet mac & cheese which is made fresh to order the REAL way with a mix of extra extra mature British Cheddar and mozzarella cheese sauce with a load of fresh exciting toppings.
It’s famous for classic toppings like La Med Babe, a no-nut pesto, semi dried tomato and baby mozzarella balls, Posh Spice which pairs spicy chorizo with harissa and caramelised onion and Hey Mac-Arena, a Latino inspired mac with smoky Chipotle beef chilli con carne, tortilla chips, sour cream and jalapeños.
Each Mac is topped with a bespoke Parmesan and Thyme Crumble which is made with Polish sourdough, Parmesan and fresh thyme and is a closely guarded family recipe.
The Putney diner will be open seven days a week and include weekly specials inspired by New York diner classics including Hotdogs and Smoked pull pork brioche buns stuffed with classic Mac & Cheese.
The brand is well-known in London as it takes its little pots of pasta cheese heaven to events, parties and festivals and has notched up some impressive numbers. It has served millions of Macs since it launched.
Graham Bradbury, The Mac Factory Founder said: “We love making people’s mac & cheese dreams come true and we’re super excited to open up in Putney. We’ve designed this site around a classic New York diner feel so it’s a place to hang out throughout the day. Along with our classic Macs, we’ll also serve hot dogs, pulled pork buns and coffee on tap.”
The Mac Factory Macs use fresh pasta which is then enrobed in freshly-made bechamel cheese sauce with a mix of British Carron Lodge Extra Extra Mature cheddar and mozzarella for the classic ‘cheese pull’. It is the only mac and cheese street food brand to make a traditional bechamel sauce for its mac with many others preferring to a use a simpler milk and cheese sauce, which although tasty, isn’t an authentic recipe.
