THE MANDRAKE LAUNCHES JUREMA WINTER TERRACE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BACARDI

Fitzrovia’s multi award-winning boutique hotel, The Mandrake (www.themandrake.com) has revamped its first-floor Jurema terrace, unveiling a beautiful, covered and heated alfresco, space for winter for the first time.

Opening on 23rd November, the space has been delicately covered with a transparent roof, ensuring guests enjoy the stunning starry sky views and magical interior of Jurema throughout the colder months, whilst keeping warm under sparkling fairy lights and faux-fur blankets. Guests are welcomed to cosy up inside heated outdoor cabins and indulge in delicious South American dishes with European influences from restaurant, YOPO.

Away from the hustle and bustle of busy central London, visitors can sip on Winter Warmers in a tranquil oasis of hanging plants, including Mulled Wine and Hot Toddy’s. Collaborating with esteemed drinks brand Bacardi, visitors of Jurema Winter Terrace can enjoy an extensive menu of premium drinks, alongside a robust range of Champagnes, wines, beers.

A range of creative cocktails are also available, including Amber, made with Remy Martin 1738 Cognac infused corn, caramel orange and cardamom syrup, Voodo, mixed with Ojo De Dios Mezcal Café, Frangelico, coffee, Baileys and maple syrup – the perfect wintery tipple. For the spice lovers, guests can enjoy the Mangosteen, consisting of Patron Silver Tequila infused Mangosteen & hibiscus, chipotle agave, jalapeño vinegar, grapefruit soda and chilli.

A range of small and large plates from destination restaurant YOPO, are served up by Executive Chef George Scott-Toft, who was inspired South American cuisine and European influences, as well as his travels through Argentina, Chile and Peru. The perfect accompaniment to festive drinks with friends, the delicious menu will be served for lunch and dinner throughout Jurema Winter Terrace amongst the exotic hanging plants and cosy candlelit tables.

Expect to discover new and exciting dishes such as snacks of Crab, Fennel and Caviar Brioche or Sweet Potato, Salsa Macha and Goat’s Cheese Tostada; or interpretations of South American dishes with European influences such as Grilled Octopus with Potato and Hot Smoked Paprika Pot, through to Yellow Tail & Aji Tiradito Crudo – a re-imagined classic Nikkea dish from Peru – and Scallop, Tomatillo & Mango Ceviche for the table.

Main dishes feature Iberico Pork Pressa with Romesco and Onions, and a new showstopping plate of Wild Seabass and citrus. A Pineapple Tepache and Mezcal Granita remains a firm favourite, evolving as a sustainable zero waste dessert, that Scott-Toft creates using the pineapple skins to make tepache.

Jurema Winter Terrace is the perfect festive hangout, and a relaxed oasis to visit after Christmas shopping on Oxford Street, the idyllic date spot, or for an after-work catch-up with colleagues, friends or family.

Winter Jurema Terrace is now open for walk-ins and reservations for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday – 12:00 – 23:00. The terrace makes the perfect party destination and is available for private hire and bookings. Ideal for standing drinks receptions, larger groups can hire the full terrace for up 100 guests, whilst smaller groups can hire the terrace for up to 30 guests. Those seeking a more intimate event can book a private table seating up to 20 guests.

Private hire bookings are available from Monday – Friday until March 2023.
