This Halloween, The Mandrake invites guests beyond the gates of hell and into The Divine Comedy. On 31 October, from 8.30pm to 3am, the Fitzrovia hotel will offer an immersive reimagining of Dante’s Inferno which unfolds across the property through monumental installations, opera, live performance, Renaissance-inspired tableaux vivants and theatrical encounters.
At the heart of the evening, The Nine Circles of Hell dining experience descends through a nine-course tasting menu inspired by Dante’s vision of the underworld and created by Viktor Yordanov, Head Chef at YOPO Zaytoun, accompanied by two live performances and theatrical interventions that blur the boundaries between dining and spectacle. Menu highlights include octopus with lime dressing, black garlic cream and squid ink cracker; A5 Wagyu steak with potato and pumpkin terrine, black truffle and Bordelaise, and chocolate mousse with caramel, spicy crumble and vanilla liqueur de cacao.
As the final course gives way to the night, the hotel transforms into one of the Capital’s most celebrated Halloween parties, with a line-up of DJs taking guests towards midnight and beyond. The soundtrack moves through sets from Jacob Groening, Hen Yanni, Cameron Jack and Nikolina, to the headline act from Oceanvs Orientalis. As the night unfolds, guests become part of the spectacle themselves, with extraordinary costumes and collective revelry completing The Mandrake’s vision of hell.
For those wishing to extend the revelry beyond the evening, The Mandrake’s Halloween room packages offer an overnight escape. The Descent includes a one-night stay and Halloween entry for two, while The Ascension combines a one-night stay with entry to The Nine Circles of Hell immersive dining experience and the Halloween party.
