Locals of Uxbridge are in for a treat this month, as The Metropolitan Tavern opens its doors following a massive £250,000 investment on Friday 22nd November.

Located on Windsor Street, the venue has undergone a complete overhaul and been transformed into a cosy pub with a mix of leather and fabric upholstery.

The Metropolitan Tavern will boast one of the best sports offerings locally, with a HD TV upgrade throughout that will allows customers to catch the action as it happens – be it the Euro 2020 qualifiers or the highly-anticipated Manchester City vs. Chelsea match – in the best surroundings possible. Bookable booths with individual screens will also offer the option perfect option for those that prefer fewer distractions, while pool tables and darts boards will keep guests entertained all night.

The drinks menu features a range of premium draught beer and interchangeable local Cask Ales including London Pride and a creative range of spirits, including Hendrick’s Summer Solstice, Beefeater Blood Orange and Verano Watermelon gin. There are also party bowls and a selection of cocktails including the famous Pornstar Martini, classic Singapore Sling and a refreshing Mojito. Low and no-alcohol choices have also been added, including Gordon’s Ultra Low G&T and Cedar’s 0% gin.

When it comes to food, locals can look forward to more pub classics. Guests can now build their own burgers starting from £6.99 for a double, triple or quadruple chicken, beef or soya patties and adding toppings such as classic cheese and bacon, BBQ sauce and Wotsits or Hot Buffalo sauce and crispy onions amongst others. There are also juicy chicken wings and dishes to share with friends, as well as pub classics like pies or fish & chips from £7.99. An extended range of Vegetarian and plant-based dishes has been added and including meat-free tikka masala and meat-free sausage rolls!

Every day of the week sees a different food offer from chicken wings Mondays and Burger Bar Tuesdays, to Best of British Friday and Weekend sharers. These offers are the perfect pairing for the pub’s events, which include the Speed Quiz night every Sunday with a rollover jackpot.
