The most-loved pubs in inner London revealed
Research reveals which areas in inner London have the most top-rated pubs, as well as the capital’s absolute favourite spots to visit.
The analysis was conducted as research for the Pub Explorer team building activity by Wildgoose Events. It looked at TripAdvisor reviews, the percentage of ‘excellent’ ratings, and the special dietary items on offer at 935 food-serving pubs, across all 14 inner London boroughs.
The research reveals that Islington takes the top spot out of the inner-London boroughs, with nearly half (45%) of its pubs rated as ‘excellent’ in Tripadvisor reviews. Lewisham comes in a close second with 44% ‘excellent’ ratings. Next are Wandsworth and Hammersmith & Fulham – 43% of the pubs in these areas are rated ‘excellent’.
It’s no secret that London has a lot of great pubs and some boroughs are blessed with more than others. What are the capital’s most-loved spots to visit?
The Hunter’s Moon in Kensington and Chelsea claims the top spot as the capital’s most-loved pub, with 86% ‘excellent’ reviews. Tower Hamlets locations dominate the rest of the top three: The Virgin Queen charts second with 85% of reviews gaining top marks, and Star of the East third with 83%.
Jonny Edser, Director at London team building company Wildgoose Events, says:
“Once again, we’re seeing just how much people love London’s pubs. The research shows us that in some boroughs, almost half of all pubs are rated 5 star ‘excellent’ – great news for residents and visitors alike.
“Our Pub Explorer activity was inspired by the popularity of London’s pubs, bringing workmates together for some fun in a setting that people love. As we move towards Christmas, London’s pubs will be full of shoppers and Christmas parties. They’re the perfect place for socialising with friends, family and colleagues.”
