The Rape of Recy Taylor gets London screening

Historic flick The Rape of Recy Taylor is set to get its London screening this weekend.

The Rape of Recy Taylor will be screened on Saturday 24 March 17.30 at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly. The film will be followed by a Q&A with director  Nancy Buirski.

In 1944, when African-American wife and mother Recy Taylor is gang raped by seven white men in Alabama, she speaks out against her attackers, putting herself and her family in danger. With help from Rosa Parks, and legions of women, she fought for justice.
