Fulham’s favourite bar, The Slug has re-opened its doors as a quarter-of-a-million pounds has injected a fresh lease of life into the legendary venue, newly named after Australia’s most venomous spider – the Redback.

Known for being the place to party like you’re down under, the Redback’s revamp has cemented its position as every Aussie’s home-from-home with its fully pumped schedule of entertainment throughout the week. From its return of its famous student night, to the undeniably unique Bogan Bingo evenings to the hottest DJs in town – the Redback will be making its way with a bang.

Alongside new furnishings and lighting, the design refresh also installed 18 enormous HD screens, perfect for catching all of the latest sporting events. Be it NFL, AFL, rugby or football, customers can watch the games while looking for the leading afl expert tips and checking the odds on their smartphones as they tuck into the brand-new menu – full of soon-to-be classics.

Not for the faint hearted is the new Bonza Burger in double, triple or quadruple patties – all complete with an incredible arrange of toppings. Choose from delicious options including, Spice of Life Burger with Tandoori ketchup and crispy poppadum’s, Yankee Doodle Dandy with American Hot Buffalo and Crispy Onion, Dirty Swine with a smoky bacon flavour glaze and topped with Monster Munch and the Barbie Curl with Sticky BBQ and cheesy Wotsits. Straight from the barbie, sizzling steak and gammon is also available alongside a true Aussie staple – the Parmi.

Vegans are also welcome to the party and will want to give the Aussie Burger a try. With a Kansas-style bean and vegetable burger, topped with Violife cheese, gherkins and iceberg, it’s something not to be missed.

Wash down the food with a selection of craft beers, wines or spirits, not to mention the bar’s mouth-watering Aussie Twist “Billy” cans. The Slug’s legacy as the home of Jager will also be passed to the Redback, with events and ice-cold shots aplenty.
