The Stage Welcomes a Brand-New Immersive Pop Up with Gary James McQueen

The Stage, a landmark mixed-use development in the heart of Shoreditch, welcomes a pop up from the acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Gary James McQueen – nephew and former collaborator of iconic fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

Open from Tuesday, May 27th 2025, visitors will be able to view new and exclusive lenticular artworks alongside best sellers from Gary James McQueen’s catalogue, each blending digital craftsmanship with deeply personal narratives, exploring the beauty found within darkness and transformation.

The pop-up invites visitors into McQueen’s immersive, dreamlike world and showcases one of the artist’s major series: Talisman Skulls, inspired by Tibetan beliefs. The artist transforms the skull, often a symbol of mortality, into one of luck, memory, and resilience. Four new versions of the Kintsugi skull will be on display for the first time prior to their release later this year. Alongside these works, the gallery will feature works including Savage Beauty, Eternal Bloom and Flayed Angel.
