The Survival Tour, which started on 3 October 2020, is an industry cycle ride from Newcastle to London to symbolise what would have been the start of touring season. 6 guys have come together taking on this challenge to raise awareness of the issues being faced by the events industry and reinforce the campaign to help it survive.  The carefully planned route from Newcastle to London visiting over 100 UK venues and festival sites with the tour ending in London on 18 October 2020 at Hyde Park. The core team are being joined along the way by industry professionals in each location who have had no work or income since March 2020 and for the foreseeable future.

The Survival Tour hopes to raise funds to issue to grants to events professionals who are at risk of losing their homes, unable to feed their families and how have not been in receipt of any grands or government loans due to ineligibility.

#WeMakeEvents was originally launched by PLASA in April 2020 as a result of the impact of COVID-19 on their membership and wider supply chain to events. The Campaign grew to include over 21 industry bodies along with many companies and professionals in the UK.
