This September, let The LP Swing Orchestra transport you to the razzle-dazzle of Broadway, live at London’s iconic Book | Cadogan Hall. Britain’s most popular big band returns with a glittering new show, On Broadway, featuring the dazzling talents of Joe Stilgoe, Gary Williams, and Julia Sullivan.
Under the musical direction of Joe Pettitt, the afternoon promises powerhouse performances and the unmistakable swing sound that’s made the LP Swing Orchestra a Sky Arts and BBC Radio 2 favourite. Expect big band brilliance and musical theatre magic, with hits from Chicago, Cabaret, West Side Story, Top Hat, Anything Goes, and Show Boat, alongside swinging arrangements inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Ted Heath, and Benny Goodman.
The show also features fresh, specially commissioned orchestrations, making this much more than a tribute—it’s a celebration of Broadway’s golden age with a swing twist that only the LP Swing Orchestra can deliver.
Joe Stilgoe brings his signature blend of jazz sophistication and witty musical storytelling, having topped the UK Jazz charts with five of his eight acclaimed albums. Gary Williams, hailed as “The UK’s leading standard bearer for the supercool era” (Evening Standard), brings the charm of The Rat Pack and a voice that’s graced venues from Carnegie Hall to the Royal Albert Hall. Julia Sullivan, described as a vocal force of nature in the spirit of Judy Garland and Liza Minelli, adds vintage flair and vocal fireworks.
