Fresh from captivating audiences on Sky Arts’ with the acclaimed 100 Years of Big Bands, the LP Swing Orchestra is bringing the glamour, energy and excitement of the swing era to The Stables, Milton Keynes, on Sunday 21 June with its spectacular new show, Luck Be A Lady.
Performing at the iconic venue founded by jazz legends Cleo Laine and John Dankworth, the celebrated 16-piece orchestra will pay tribute to the extraordinary female artists whose voices defined the golden age of big band music.

Led by acclaimed vocalist and trumpeter and the only female fronted touring Big Band in Europe, Georgina Jackson and featuring the powerhouse vocals of Nicola Emmanuelle and Julia Sullivan, the show reimagines the classic Rat Pack format with women taking centre stage.
Audiences will be treated to timeless songs associated with some of the greatest names in music, including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Peggy Lee, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli, alongside hidden gems from some of swing’s most overlooked female stars.
