While the Prime Minister attempts to carve out a deal for Britain’s exit from the EU, a London pub has carved something altogether more hilarious – dozens of pumpkins featuring Boris Johnson’s FACE.

Ahead of Halloween this Thursday, and in a nod to the looming Brexit deadline, the UK’s leading managed pub company and brewer Greene King, has filled one of its most popular pubs with an unusual display of pumpkins, each intricately carved into a likeness of the country’s most famous political face.

The bizarre installation, which can be found at the Lamb and Flag pub in Westminster, took a team of skilled pumpkin carvers over SIX DAYS to create, with each of the seasonal vegetables expertly carved to mimic the famed politician’s trademark mop hair and cheesy grin.

Guests visiting the pub, which is located just a stone’s throw away from Parliament, will have to navigate a sea of Boris-faced pumpkins and flickering candle-light to enjoy a spook-tacular pint at the bar, all under the watchful eyes of the Prime Minister.

The weird and wacky pumpkin installation is just one of thousands of Halloween events taking place in over 1,700 Greene King pubs across the country. Guests will also be able to get a free pint if they bring a pumpkin into a Greene King pub with them on Thursday 31st October – with or without BoJo’s face on!

Phil Thomas, Greene King’s chief commercial offer, said: “There’s no denying that Boris Johnson is the name on everyone’s lips at the moment, so we thought what better way to celebrate Halloween than to create a pub filled with Boris Johnson pumpkins – regardless of your view on Brexit, Boris is definitely the star of the show this Halloween!

“Our Boris pumpkins have been getting a lot of attention from guests, taking selfies and getting into the Halloween spirit.”

The Boris Johnson pumpkins will be in the pub this week. To redeem a free drink at the Lamb and Flag pub, and Greene King pubs up and down the country, guests will be able to visit their local pub on Thursday 31st October and swap a pumpkin at the bar for a drink of their choice. A range of drinks including lager, bitter or house wine will be available.
