THREE HUGE MEGALODON FINS SIGHTED ON RIVER THAMES AHEAD OF RELEASE OF THE MEG 2: THE TRENCH

A trio of enormous Megalodon fins breached the River Thames this morning, stopping commuters in their tracks as they eerily stalked the London waterway, signaling the upcoming arrival of The Meg 2: The Trench, in cinemas on 4th August 2023.

Sightings of the giant fins swimming down the river and circling boats between Butler’s Wharf and Tower Bridge were reported by Londoners. The spectacular creations were soon revealed to be created by Warner Bros. Pictures to promote the exciting summer big screen release.

The three massive, hand-sculpted fins and back sections were crafted in the style of the film franchise’s iconic Megalodon sharks, with the biggest fin in the river standing at a jaw-dropping 4.5m above water, their body sections spanning over 20 metres long.

A fan favorite of Summer 2018, The Meg took a massive bite out of the box office—over $530 million. Audiences everywhere can expect even more thrills, chills and gills this time around!

Directed by Ben Wheatley and starring Jason Statham, Wu Jing, Sophia Cai, Page Kennedy, Sergio Peris-Mancheta, Skyler Samuels, Sienna Guillory and Cliff Curtis, Meg 2: The Trench follows a daring research team on an exploratory dive into the deepest depths of the ocean. Their voyage spirals into chaos and pitted against colossal Megs, the heroes must outrun, outsmart, and outswim their merciless predators in a pulse pounding race against time.

Meg 2: The Trench will be released in the UK on 4th August 2023 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
