The annual Men and Boys Awards aim to recognise and empower male figures who highlight issues faced by both men and boys in the world as well as those who help put male wellbeing on the public agenda. Founded by the Men and Boys Coalition, the UK’s umbrella charity for those working to support the wellbeing of men and boys in the UK, the Awards acknowledge leading achievements in providing care, compassion or social change for men and boys across the UK in all their diversity. The “Campaigner of the Year” Award in particular is handed to a business or individual whose advocacy and awareness-raising has proven influential to many in the past years. The winners of the 2022 Awards will be announced and presented in Stoller Hall, Manchester on Friday November 25th.

The South West Business Awards will take place on Thursday 8th December, and will be held at The DoubleTree by Hilton, Swindon. The Awards put a limelight on individuals, companies, non-profit organisations, social enterprises, community projects/trust or community interest companies that should be recognised for their achievements, all whilst raising money for charity in the South West region. The “Outstanding Contribution to the Community” Award will be given to one that has made, and continues to make, an outstanding contribution to the South West community.

The Women’s Business Awards strive to raise awareness of exceptional female entrepreneurship and celebrate women’s professional achievements. Lorna Wilkins has been nominated for the “Overcomer Award”, which aims to recognise an individual who has overcome numerous obstacles in the past year and come out of it all stronger than ever. Tommy Hatto has received a nomination for the “Man of the Year Award”, the winner of which is celebrated for actively committing to and advancing or championing the career progression of women in business.

It is no wonder that both co-founders of Tommy Hatto Online have been presented with this many Awards in such a short period of time. Their tireless campaigning and desire for the wellbeing of men, both in general and in the workplace, to be properly addressed and highlighted appears to be getting the recognition that it deserves. More and more businesses and individuals are starting to understand the importance of instilling a culture focused around wellbeing and the impact a positive outlook and environment can have on your life. Dan Bell, CEO of the Men and Boys Coalition, said:

“There is often a significant lack of awareness around wellbeing issues that affect men and boys – particularly in areas such as body image and eating disorders that are commonly understood to only impact on women and girls, so the work of campaigners like Tommy Hatto and his business who is expanding our understanding of how boys and men are affected by these conditions, is incredibly important. Crucially, this will make it easier for boys and men to recognise they are affected and seek help. “The Men and Boys Coalition was founded to champion the men and boys sector in the UK — and there is an incredible network of charities, practitioners and academics in the UK who are doing crucial, unsung work on the ground to support men and boys. “What better way to do that than to shout about this work with our National Men and Boys Awards.”

As an award-winning wellbeing coach and motivational speaker, Tommy Hatto’s voice is requested by many. On the 14th-15th of March 2023 at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, Tommy will attend Health and Wellbeing at Work, where he will talk about the importance of wellbeing in the workplace. It is the UK’s largest event dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, safety, behaviour and culture of today’s workforce.
