The nation’s sweetheart Holly Willoughby is voted as the top choice British women would have in their very own girl gang, as the day to celebrate female friendships, Galentine’s Day approaches.

New research from Mecca Bingo, found Holly was the favourite ultimate girl squad member, followed by Queen of the Jungle, Jacqueline Jossa and fellow TV presenter Rochelle Humes. Ferne McCann and Laura Whitmore were also popular choices as the nation’s favourite female celebrities whom women would most like to be friends with.

Mecca Bingo is celebrating female friendship and empowerment this Galentine’s Day by encouraging all female customers to visit their local Mecca Bingo club for an evening of bingo fun, laughter and drinks. The top celebrity pick to go with would be fun and bubbly Stacey Solomon, with over one in five women (22%) keen for a bingo night out with her.

The top traits women look for in their girlfriends are loyalty, trustworthiness and honesty. Humour also important with almost two fifths of women (39%) seeing this as an important characteristic in their girl groups.

Top mischief maker in their ultimate girl squad would be Gemma Collins, with over a quarter of women (27%) agreeing she’d be the most likely to get up to no good on a night out.
