Tradestars Islington to open its doors for tour on Thursday 22nd January

Tradestars, the flexible workspace provider for ambitious entrepreneurs, creators, and growing businesses, is opening the doors to its Islington site for a day of free tours on Thursday 22nd January. Located at 4-10 North Road, those looking at workspace or just curious about this design-led building are invited to pop in, no appointment needed, any time between 9am – 5pm.

Free coffee and a warm welcome will be provided in what was previously the headquarters of renowned fashion designer Alexander McQueen. The Tradestars concept was designed by business founder, Roy Shaby, who experienced the frustration of not having the type of workspace he needed to help his food business grow and thrive. Studios are suitable for a wide range of businesses from beauty salons to ecommerce to food and drink to creative entrepreneurs.

Created to give growing businesses the flexibility they need to operate and scale, Tradestars Islington is already home to a wide range of companies, from tattoo artists to hairdressers to TikTok shops to architects and creative agencies. The building includes a stylish, industrial-style cafe and lounge and photography and podcast studios for residents to access. There’s also a resident social calendar which offers a range of events and networking opportunities on-site.

Tradestars, which also runs buildings in Hackney Wick and Southwark, has recently announced a partnership with Simon Squibb, founder of HelpBnk and a well‑known advocate for early‑stage entrepreneurs. The partnership will include collaboration at future events and exclusive deals for Tradestars members.

All studios in Islington have standard access and security features, including 24/7 access, CCTV and fobbed electric doors, on-site support with an Operations Manager and friendly reception team. Practical support services include post and delivery management, maintenance and cleaning.

Roy Shaby founder and CEO Tradestars said: “Tradestars was built by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs, and I’d love people to come in and have a look around at what we offer. I know firsthand how hard it is to find a suitable home for a startup or growing business. The traditional workspace market doesn’t understand what modern entrepreneurs need. We’ve built something that’s much more than desks and chairs and four walls – it’s also an ecosystem that supports how a wide range of companies operate today. We give the practical tools and the platform founders need, allowing them to scale without compromise.”
