Two of the nation’s most familiar faces have been causing a stir across London this week, with passers-by spotting the iconic Dolmio couple, Mama and Papa, at some of the capital’s most recognisable spots.

For the first time in nearly a decade, the iconic duo have been seen soaking up the sights of the city, from strolls along the South Bank to crossing Westminster Bridge, while others have spotted them picking up fresh tomatoes in a Marylebone greengrocer, Greenfields.

The surprise sightings come almost a decade after the much-loved duo were last seen on our screens, sparking intense speculation about why they’ve suddenly reappeared.

For generations of families, Mama and Papa have been synonymous with dinnertime, becoming two of the UK’s most recognisable characters since first appearing on screens decades ago. Now, as Dolmio celebrates its 40th anniversary, it seems the pair are back in town.
