Two New Culinary Concepts Launch at Canteen Food Hall & Bar This Month

Canteen Food Hall & Bar, at Design District, Greenwich Peninsula, is expanding its global food line-up with the arrival of two new street food cuisines: Jerk Vibes and Noodes. Both vendors will officially open on 24 September, bringing bold, warming flavours to one of London’s most vibrant food halls this autumn.

Jerk Vibes offers an authentic soul food experience, serving up Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, and BBQ Jackfruit & Butter Bean Stew, all cooked over the jerk pan to honour Jamaican culinary roots. Fusing classic Caribbean recipes with modern flair, Jerk Vibes also serves a house favourite: loaded fries stacked high with a choice of jerk toppings.

Jermaine Blackwood, Jerk Vibes, Founder & Head Chef: “Born in Jamaica and raised in South East London, I’ve seen first-hand both the demand and the gap for truly authentic Caribbean cuisine. I’m excited to bring not just my culinary expertise, but also a genuine taste of Caribbean dining to this vibrant and thriving neighbourhood.”

Noodes brings ramen and bao to Canteen, serving rich house-made broths, soft pillowy buns, and delicious toppings. Each dish is built around depth of taste and freshness, carefully crafted using authentic recipes, layered with flavour, and designed to be utterly moreish. Highlights include Tonkotsu Ramen with Chashu Pork or Flank Steak, XO Prawns in house broth, and bao buns filled with Braised Brisket or Miso Celeriac.

Igor Bekaert, Noodes, Founder & Head Chef: “For me, it’s always about quality and authenticity. With over 30 years of experience building delicious recipes, we’re excited to serve up our broth and buns in Canteen.”

To mark the two new arrivals, Canteen will host a series of tantalising launch week lunch offers. On 24th September, the first 25 customers at Noodes will receive a free ramen of their choosing, with 50% off for all other customers until 3pm. The following day, on 25th September, the first 25 customers at Jerk Vibes will receive a free main meal on the house, and again, all other customers benefit from 50% off for the remainder of the lunch service. To be in with a chance of securing a free main meal, customers need to head down to Canteen for 12pm, and sign up for the 50% off deals here.

John-Luke Field, General Manager of Canteen said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Jerk Vibes and Noodes to Canteen. Both kitchens bring incredible authenticity, flavour, and energy to the food hall, perfectly complementing our existing line-up and offering even more variety for our guests.”

Canteen offers a culinary journey around the world, with a wide range of choices, Noodes and Jerk Vibes will sit alongside four other globally inspired street food vendors: Hermanos, serving up classic Mexican street food; Juk Pou, introducing London’s first congee and youtiao street food concept; Pasta Rebels, featuring fresh pasta bowls with bold flavours; and Greeko, offering a taste of the Mediterranean with delicious gyros and pitas.

Located just a 2-minute walk from the O2 arena, Canteen is the go-to independent choice for pre-show dining, visits to Greenwich Peninsula and private parties. Guests can book tables or walk in to enjoy delicious food, hand-crafted cocktails, and live music from DJs and performers.
