Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield awards large sum of £15,000 to 15 local organisations as part of its Croydon Community Grant Fund

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) has today announced the recipients of its Croydon Community Grant Fund, in partnership with Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA). 15 grass roots organisations operating in the London Borough of Croydon, providing services to the local community and earning an annual income of £75,000 or less will receive vital funding amounting to a total of £15,000. The full details on recipients are included in the attached release.

The organisations that have been granted funding are aligned with the following objectives: tackling youth disenfranchisement by providing opportunities and activities for young people; supporting people experiencing homelessness, temporary accommodation, as well as refugees and asylum seekers. The organisations that have been successful in receiving grants in 2024 will be invited to apply for additional funding in 2025 of up to £5,000 each to encourage development, growth and support more local residents.

Steve Phaure, CEO of Croydon Voluntary Action said: “Small grants can make a big difference – and every new activity we support will bring local people together in helping each other and making their communities stronger. CVA and URW are proud partners in launching this Fund – and we invite others to invest with us in keeping Croydon’s community spirit alive.”

Jason Perry, Mayor of Croydon, added: “We place enormous value on the work Croydon our voluntary and faith sector do here in Croydon, to support and enrich the lives of our residents. Thank you to Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) for providing these grants, which will reach many people in our community.”
