University of Roehampton to deliver Education Leadership and Management Master’s degrees
The University of Roehampton has partnered with the National College of Education (NCE) and the National Centre for Leadership and Management (NCLM), both part of Oceanova Group, to deliver a suite of validated Leadership and Management Master’s degrees in Education from July 2021.
The NCE is an independent school of education and leadership college providing professional learning opportunities for all career pathways within education, while the NCLM delivers management and leadership apprenticeships into organisations across the economy. Oceanova is today the largest provider of Senior Leadership Apprenticeships with more than 900 learners on the programme to date with the NCE.
The University of Roehampton’s partnership with NCE and NCLM will begin with a Master’s by Research in Education in July 2021. The MSc and MBA in Education Management and an MSc in Applied Leadership and Management will launch in September 2021. These programmes, with the exception of the Master’s by Research in Education, also address the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by level 7 apprenticeship standards, effectuating a dual award qualification that combines the academic rigour of Master’s level study with the practical application synonymous of apprenticeship learning. The programmes are currently open to applications across England with all qualifications validated by the University of Roehampton.
Professor Jean-Noël Ezingeard, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Roehampton, said: “This exciting partnership greatly improves the accessibility of Masters degrees in Education Leadership and Management to aspiring part-time students in the educational sector across the country as they will be able to combine studies with working.
