Vagabond Wines has opened its new Soho flagship on Ganton Street, bringing an unrivalled section of more than 140 wines by the glass to the heart of the West End. Home to the largest wine selection in Vagabond’s history, the new opening combines one of the capital’s most extensive wine-by-the-glass wine selections with award-winning wines produced at Vagabond’s Urban Winery in Canada Water, the UK’s largest urban winery.
Bringing together self-pour tasting, London-made wines and a relaxed approach to exploring wine, Vagabond Soho is the fullest expression yet of the concept that has helped redefine how many Londoners drink wine. From wines produced just five miles away in Canada Water to bottles sourced from some of the world’s most exciting wine regions, the new opening offers a wine lover’s paradise in the heart of Soho. Guests can taste widely, compare styles and discover something new without the pressure of committing to a full glass.
Set across two floors, with an external terrace for sunnier sipping, the contemporary interiors draw subtle inspiration from Vagabond’s winemaking roots. A dramatic lightwell runs through the venue, while stainless-steel wine tanks, bespoke mosaics and winery-inspired details surround a striking central bar, modelled on the curved staves of a wine barrel. A private dining room hidden amongst the tanks offers an intimate space for tastings, celebrations and special events.
At the heart of the experience are Vagabond’s signature self-pour wine machines, allowing guests to choose from tasting measures through to full glasses. The list spans renowned producers, emerging wine regions and independent winemakers from around the world, alongside wines crafted at Vagabond’s own Urban Winery, recently named Producer of the Year at the Independent English Wine Awards 2026.
Must tried include the brand’s own gold medal-winning Solena Batch 004 – a smoky and expansive white described by wine writer Matthew Jukes as the “film noir of a wine, resulting in a flavour unlike any other on earth – and the silver medal-awarded Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Nature Series Cuvée 2019. Add to this, a truly vast range of red, white, rosé, sparkling, organic and orange wines sourced from independent wine makers across the globe, and Vagabond has a wine for every palate. Whether dropping in for a quick drink after work or settling in for an evening of tasting, guests can explore the list entirely at their own pace.
Complementing the extensive wine selection, is a menu of seasonal small plates, sharing dishes and artisan charcuterie and cheese boards. Designed with grazing and pairing in mind, the food offering showcases quality British produce alongside Mediterranean influences, making it equally suited to a spontaneous drinks, leisurely dinners or larger group gatherings.
Opening moments from Carnaby Street, Vagabond Soho brings the group’s most complete wine experience to one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods. Combining self-pour tasting, an all-day food offering and wines made both in London and further afield, the flagship offers a fresh take on the modern wine bar in the heart of the West End.
