Velvet Taco, the cult-favorite U.S. restaurant known for reinventing global flavours inside a tortilla, is giving Londoners their first taste of bold, unexpected tacos ahead of its official UK debut at Broadgate Circle this November.
To celebrate its arrival, Velvet Taco will host its First Taste Pop-Up on Thursday, November 13, from 5–8pm – a free, one-night-only patio event featuring signature tacos, Kick Ass Margaritas, and a live DJ set. It’s London’s first look at the flavour-forward energy that’s made Velvet Taco a U.S. sensation, ahead of its official opening on Thursday, November 20.
A NEW TASTE FOR LONDON: VELVET TACO’S OFFICIAL MENU
Doors officially open on Thursday, November 20, when Velvet Taco brings its full scratch-made menu to Broadgate Circle. Known for reimagining global cuisines through a taco lens, the London menu showcases guest favourites straight from the U.S. Trust us, you’ve never had a taco like this.
Menu Highlights include:
Spicy Chicken Tikka Taco: Crisp tenders, house-made spicy tikka sauce, raita crema, marinated red cabbage, cucumber, Thai basil, buttered cilantro basmati rice, flour tortilla
Fish ‘n Chips Taco: Beer battered cod, curry aioli, french fries, malt vinegar, napa slaw, flour tortilla
Beer Battered Cauliflower Taco: Queso blanco, sabor hot sauce, avocado, roasted corn pico, candied pepitas, flour tortilla
Bacon Smash Burger Taco: Peppered bacon, smoked cheddar, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, velvet sauce, flour tortilla
Every taco is made from scratch and pairs perfectly with Velvet Taco’s Boozy Libations — from the fan-favourite Kick Ass Margarita (frozen or on the rocks) to classics like mojitos and old fashioneds, plus draught staples including Camden IPA, Modelo, and Guinness.
Sides include Brisket Nachos, Queso, Classic Guac, and Elote with husk-on roasted corn. And, of course, no visit is complete without Velvet Taco’s signature Red Velvet Cake – a sweet nod to its name.
In true Velvet Taco fashion, creativity doesn’t stop there. The team drops a new WTF (Weekly Taco Feature) every week – limited-edition tacos inspired by flavours from around the world, from Nashville Hot Chicken to Mediterranean Mezze.

Velvet Taco’s London debut marks the brand’s first step beyond the U.S., with additional international openings planned for 2026.
