Virtual summit helps early stage leaders with speakers from Uber and PandaDoc
Emerging leaders attended a virtual summit to learn from speakers with experience at major firms including Uber and PandaDoc.
The Skillsme Leadership Summit took place online from Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8 and featured experienced speakers sharing their tools and strategies to thrive in 2025. More than 5,000 emerging leaders from Fortune 500 companies, startups, and key industry players attended the event, which included networking opportunities and live Q&A sessions.
The summit, which had the theme ‘Unleash the leader within’, was the brainchild of Diana Robertson, the founder of Skillsme, the UK’s leading virtual school for soft skills. She wanted to create something which would inspire and support emerging leaders and help them learn valuable skills and meet each other.
Diana said: “’Looking back on the Skillsme Leadership Summit, I’m deeply moved by what we achieved together. Over these three days, we created a truly unique environment where leaders supported and encouraged one another, openly shared their insights, and collaborated to tackle real leadership challenges.
“The sense of connection, kindness, and mutual growth was extraordinary, and it was truly beautiful to witness. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this summit such an inspiring and uplifting experience.’
The event was aimed at people with less than five years of leadership experience. Speakers included Javier Rivero, Uber’s former head of operations, Deborah Riegel, an instructor at Wharton, Columbia and Duke Business Schools, William Arruda, a personal branding expert, and Dmitry Ivanouski, former director of sales at PandaDoc.
And the topics covered at the summit included everything from adaptability, overcoming resistance and hiring top talent to handling difficult conversations and maximising team performance through psychological safety.
