City dog care brand WagWorks, the place for Londoners with dogs, is inviting non-members to book a free place at The London Dog Check-Up, a week-long event running from Monday 10th to Friday 14th August at WagWorks Fulham, as part of their Stay One Paw Ahead campaign.
WagWorks’ Stay One Paw Ahead campaign is an initiative to encourage London dog owners to think differently about caring for their dogs, by prioritising proactive wellbeing rather than waiting until problems arise. Most dog care starts when something goes wrong, this starts before. It’s the standard of care that WagWorks members experience all the time and this August, it’s open to everyone.
The initiative kicks-off with The London Dog Check-up, a week long complimentary event inviting London dog owners to experience the preventative, holistic care that WagWorks members benefit from every day. The event brings together three of the club’s in-house specialists – a vet, a behaviourist and a grooming team – for a single one-hour session per dog. Each free appointment covers a health & wellbeing check-up, a behaviour and training consultation and a grooming session, with owners leaving with a digital report card summarising the findings and recommended next step.

Each complimentary one-hour session at The London Dog Check-Up covers:
Grooming & coat session: a maintenance session by the WagWorks grooming team, tailored to each dog. This may include anything from nail care, ear cleaning, de-shedding, brushing and a finishing spritz, with coat care recommendations provided.
Health & wellbeing check-up with Dr Steph: a one-to-one check-up with WagWorks’ in-house vet, covering overall health and wellbeing. Owners can raise questions or concerns and will receive tailored breed-specific advice to take home.
Behaviour session with Winkie Spiers: a consultation with WagWorks’ in-house behaviourist. Each session opens with an introduction to dog behaviour before moving into a personalised discussion on a topic chosen by the owner. Topic choices include: separation anxiety, excessive barking, reading body language or enrichment and owners will leave with practical advice to put into action.
Dr Steph Day, In-House Vet & Club Manager at WagWorks, said: “A routine check-up can pick up things that are easy to miss day-to-day – changes in weight, early signs of joint issues, coat or ear conditions that haven’t caused obvious symptoms yet. Owners who come in are able to address these concerns before they turn into more serious problems”.
