Wantigga releases upbeat single ‘Don’t Call’ ft. Neema Nekesa
Wantigga links up with vocalist Neema Nekesa for his latest release LET GO, the lead single off his forthcoming EP. On Don’t Call, Wantigga taps into UK influences reminiscent of the housey drum & bass sound popularised in the mid ‘10s. Wantigga’s fresh take makes use of driving, rhythmic percussion overlaid with an irresistible R&B topline. Don’t Call is out now, September 15th, on Studio KOTO.
With the release of Don’t Call, Wantigga’s newest project has officially kicked off. As part of a new EP, Don’t Call is just the start of a greater body of work, due out later this year. Don’t Call, as well as the rest of the forthcoming EP will be turned into a brand new audiovisual live show. Wantigga will be performing his sets live through a modular synth, poly-synthesisers and drum computers.
Wantigga, hailing from The Netherlands, has been in the music game for a decade and is widely respected for his production skills and mentorship role. The DJ, producer, rapper and music teacher at the prestigious Herman Brood Academy in Amsterdam previously released multiple EPs on Roche Musique. Aside from a great number of shows in his native Netherlands, Wantigga has toured in major international hubs including Paris, Tokyo, Barcelona, Seoul, Berlin and Bali.
