WEEK: Med Transfers by Gin Mare transports Londoners to the Mediterranean with cocktail experience
From balmy summer nights to aperitivo moments by the sea, Gin Mare is bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to London for two nights only during London Cocktail Week with Med Transfers by Gin Mare. Be transported to a warm Mediterranean coastline without having to leave the city whilst tasting curated food and drink pairings created by chefs and head bartenders, inspired by Gin Mare’s Mediterranean botanicals, including basil, rosemary, thyme and Arbequina olives.
Med Transfers is about showcasing the art of Mediterranean hospitality, good food, good drinks, and in the company of good friends. Gin Mare’s savoury taste profile and olive botanicals allows it to pair perfectly with Mediterranean food for the ideal aperitivo moment.
Ideal for cocktail lovers and foodies, Med Transfer guests will be transported between three handpicked venues – Kwãnt, Bar Daskal and Parrillan – in a bespoke vintage style campervan with custom interiors. Along the route, they’ll experience a taste sensation with dishes influenced by the Mediterranean served with specially curated cocktails.
Mayfair’s newly reopened Kwãnt, a 2021 World’s 50 Best Bar, will be serving exquisite cocktails from globally renowned bartender Erik Lorincz and Mediterranean dishes from Joni Ketonen. Bar Daskal is a pocket of Mallorca in Borough Yards, an homage to the owners seafaring artist grandfather, showcasing the freshest Spanish flavours. Perrillan brings a flavour of the Spanish mainland to Kings Cross, curated by Angel Zapata Martin, where fish, meat and vegetables are grilled to perfection. At each venue guests will experience a classic signature Gin Mare & Tonic, a specially curated bespoke drink and Mediterranean influenced light bites.
Med Transfers by Gin Mare runs on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th October. Tickets cost £20 and include three food and cocktail pairings. Limited spaces are available. For more information, head to Design My Night.
