Thwaites is bringing back Welly Wednesdays from 30 September to 18 November 2026, with a sharing venison Wellington for two available every Wednesday at 11 inns across Yorkshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, the Cotswolds and West Midlands. Priced at £50 for two, the menu includes venison Wellington with dauphinoise potatoes, roasted winter roots and red wine and port jus, while £65 includes a bottle of house wine.

The venison comes from Barwhillanty Estate, a family-run estate in the Galloway hills of Kirkcudbrightshire, South West Scotland. The estate has a field-to-fork approach, with a focus on husbandry, animal welfare and provenance.

Participating inns include locations in the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, Ribble Valley and Cotswolds, as well as York, Beverley and Lancaster:
