With a summer of sport underway, Southside Shopping Centre and Wandsworth Town BID has teamed up to bring the community the summer’s biggest sporting events, including live tennis from Wimbledon, in a special free outdoor summer pop-up situated on the centre’s Piazza.

The ‘Big Screen Wandsworth’ pop-up will be free to attend, with no tickets required. All matches from the Wimbledon Championships will be shown live on the big screen, whilst guests can take a seat and relax in a deckchair and enjoy watching the action on Centre Court in the summer sun.

Refreshments by Urban Food Fest will be available, bringing a selection of global street food to satisfy any hunger cravings and refuel during the matches. Drinks from BrewDog will also be allowed out onto the Piazza to create the perfect sporting atmosphere.

The pop-up will be situated outside on the Piazza at Southside Shopping Centre from now until Monday 31st July. Alongside Wimbledon, visitors will also be able to view the latest sporting action from FIFA Women’s World Cup, Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Tour de France up to the end of July.

The screen will also transform into the ultimate summer free cinematic treat, showcasing a line-up of cult classics and family favourites including Back to the Future, Grease and Moana, along with live performances from the National Theatre.

The event is being run in partnership with Wandsworth Town BID and has been sponsored by Wandsworth’s latest development, New Acres Wandsworth, and British pub and hotel chain, Young’s.
