Anyway, this is a one-of-a-kind machine, which serves Maple Syrup Old Fashioned cocktails in a flash, will pop up in gardens throughout the summer at locations around the UK, starting with London this Saturday 3^rd August.

To be in with a chance of hosting the ultimate summer soirée, drinkers simply need to follow The Woodsman Whisky on Instagram and Facebook – @WoodsmanWhisky – and tag three friends they’d invite round to enjoy a freshly made cocktail in the sun, in the competition post. London entries for this Saturday need to be submitted by 12pm Friday 2^nd August. Further dates and locations will be announced on the social channels across the coming weeks.

The Woodsman’s quirky Old Fashioned Vending Machine demonstrates its ‘hands on’ approach to innovation. It was custom built in a bid to speed up the creation process of the classic cocktail, which traditionally takes some time and made headlines when it hit the road earlier this year, giving whisky lovers the chance to build their own cocktail simply by pulling levers and turning a wheel to create their perfect serve.

Kenny Nicholson, Head of Modern Spirits at Whyte & Mackay, said: “Britain has enjoyed one of the hottest summers on record and it looks set to continue. But with hot weather, comes crowded beer gardens and melted cocktails – which is why The Woodsman decided to give whisky fans a delicious alternative, by bringing quality serves directly to them. Launched just last year, with the aim of giving traditional whisky rules the chop, The Woodsman Whisky is matured using a transatlantic mix of freshly-built oak casks from Ohio (giving a hint of vanilla and spice) and ex-Bourbon barrels double-scorched in Scotland (for extra depth, sweetness, and a hint of woodsmoke).
