WSET School London launches LGBT+ speed dating night

WSET School London, flagship of the global leader in drinks education WSET is launching its first LGBT+ speed dating night, taking place on 1 October 2026.

Created for queer wine lovers looking to swap dating apps for real-life conversation, the evening will bring LGBT+ singles together over wine, snacks, quizzes and wine-themed challenges at WSET School London on Bermondsey Street.

The evening will feature two simultaneous speed dating experiences: one for women looking to meet women and another for men looking to meet men. Both events are trans-inclusive and designed to provide a welcoming environment where guests can meet people, enjoy wine and connect over a shared interest.

A welcome drink will be poured on arrival, and attendees will have the chance to meet singles one-to-one. A different wine activity will be proposed for each meeting to get the conversation going, from blind tastings to wine quizzes and label drawing challenges.

A wine and cheese-based group competition will also take place in the foyer to give attendees the chance to meet more wine lovers and enjoy a selection of snacks and wines carefully curated by the Events team.

Richard Harding, Principal at WSET School London said: “Wine is about so much more than what’s in the glass – it brings people together, creates conversation and helps us discover new things. We wanted to take that spirit and create a fun, welcoming evening specifically for LGBT+ wine lovers.”

We know people don’t always identify with traditional gender labels. Guests are welcome to book the event that feels right for them, and the WSET School London team is happy to answer any questions before booking.
