Yakult Relocates UK Headquarters to Chiswick’s Power Road Studios

Yakult has relocated its UK headquarters to Power Road Studios in Chiswick, marking a significant milestone for the business as it enters its 30th year operating in the UK.

The move sees Yakult take up residence in a revitalised workspace designed to better support its current operational needs, offering a modern, functional environment that encourages more collaborative ways of working. After many years at West Ruislip, its new 3,200 sq ft office is now home to the company’s London team and is secured on a long-term lease.

Power Road Studios, which forms part of Feldberg Capital’s Akoya venture, is a refurbished 1930s former factory that has been transformed into a creative and sustainable campus. The scheme has become a standout destination for forward-thinking occupiers seeking high-quality, characterful workspace in West London. The campus offers occupier amenities including an on-site café and gym, alongside landscaped external areas across the wider estate.

Yakult UK’s relocation reflects growing confidence in London’s office market, particularly in West London, where Chiswick is fast becoming a high-growth global business hub. The area is attracting a strong mix of established multinational brands as well as start-ups, supported by ongoing local investment and infrastructure improvements.

The relocation also coincides with a leadership transition, with Shinji Yamaguchi recently appointed as Managing Director of Yakult UK & Ireland, succeeding Hiroaki Yoshimura, who has taken on the role of Managing Director of Yakult Europe at the company’s European headquarters in the Netherlands. Since entering the European market in 1993, the company has been at the forefront of introducing the concept of gut health to consumers across the region.

Shinji Yamaguchi, MD of Yakult UK and Ireland, comments: “Relocating to Power Road Studios marks an exciting new chapter for Yakult UK operations. The space reflects how we work today: more collaborative, more flexible and better connected. As we celebrate 30 years in the UK, this move demonstrates our continued commitment to growth, innovation and investing in our people and operations in the country .”

Rebecca Hore, Associate Director, Asset Management, Feldberg Capital, comments: “Yakult’s decision to relocate to Power Road Studios underlines the strength of demand for high-quality, design-led workspace in well-connected west London locations. Our Studio 5 development delivers new build, high quality office space with ESG at the heart of the design to ensure we are meeting the evolving needs of modern occupiers. We are very excited for Yakult to join our ever-growing campus.”
