YUMOVE LAUNCHES #THANKYOUDOGS BY SUPPORTING STREETVET IN LONDON
YuMOVE – the UK’s No.1 veterinary joint supplement brand* that helps keep dogs active for life – is today launching #ThankYouDogs to celebrate the vital role that dogs have played in 2020. One of the ways that YuMOVE is “thanking” dogs is by supporting StreetVet – a charity that provides vital veterinary care to London’s street dogs.
Lockdowns and social restrictions have made canine companionship more important than ever. Our dogs have offered unwavering love and loyalty during an incredibly difficult period; becoming even more vital to the mental and physical wellbeing of people across the country, especially those that are lonely and vulnerable. People have even got themselves dogs over this period so they can have that all-important connection as they battle through an unprecedented time. There are so many breeds out there for people to love, and if they are spoilt for choice they can always check out articles that discuss dogs that look like pit bulls and low-shedding dog breeds, etc. so that people can get the best dog that fits them.
Dogs have given humans so much during this pandemic, that YuMOVE wants to give something back and deliver on its mission to keep all dogs active for life. This is why it is supporting StreetVet to deliver its joint supplements to 100’s of homeless dogs across the UK and launch #ThankYouDogs to encourage the UK’s 9m dog-owners to share some pawsitivity.
For every tall, short and wagging tail (tale) of companionship and thanks shared across social media, YuMOVE will donate 1 directly to StreetVet.
Andy Smith, Global Marketing Director at YuMOVE, said: “Dogs give their owners unconditional love and support, which has been crucial during a very difficult year, especially for vulnerable people. We hope our #ThankYouDogs campaign and partnership with StreetVet will inspire people to share and celebrate the positive tales of companionship they’ve experienced with their pets, while supporting a wonderful charity.”
Jade Statt, co-founder of StreetVet, said: “Homeless people rely heavily on their dogs for love and companionship, and during the pandemic this need has been heightened… Please share your stories with #ThankYouDogs to help us raise essential funds for the charity, and continue to safeguard pets belonging to those experiencing homelessness in the UK.”
Dogs are at their most vulnerable during the winter months. In fact, the cold affects dogs in a similar way to adults, resulting in stiff joints.
Animal lovers are encouraged to play their part in supporting the essential work of StreetVet so it can continue to deliver vital services around the country. Simply share your story on Facebook or Instagram tagging @YuMOVEUK/@YuMOVE_UK using #ThankYouDogs and YuMOVE will donate 1 directly to the charity*.
