Italian restaurant Zizzi has today announced it will be celebrating National Prosecco Day by giving away thousands of glasses of the nation’s favourite fizz at its restaurants nationwide.

On Tuesday 13th August, National Prosecco Day, prosecco fans across the UK will be able to enjoy a glass of bubbly at any Zizzi simply by presenting a code to their waiter.

To sweeten the deal, alternatively diners can enjoy a delicious Prosecco Panna Cotta dessert. The summer dessert features a creamy panna cotta base, topped with raspberry and prosecco jelly, strawberries and mint and all for under 300 calories.

Zizzi’s National Prosecco Day offer is just the latest in a long line of Zizzi summer celebrations. As well as the special giveaway, Zizzi has transformed a number of its restaurants in a bid to bring the best parts of summer indoors. Diners in London, Manchester and Glasgow will all have the opportunity to enjoy their complimentary glass of fizz or dessert in an immersive Summer Oasis, complete with grass, summer swing seats and a plethora of plants, all designed to bring al fresco get togethers indoors – no matter the weather outside.

Earlier this summer, Zizzi also created the UK’s first Instagram inspired Golden Hour restaurant which saw diners enjoy an Italian summer meal under a golden hour light ‘filter’ which even gave customers a mood-boosting dose of Vitamin D. The restaurant was also filled with the sounds and smells of summer to create a fully multi-sensory dining experience.

Encouraging diners to make the most of the remaining balmy summer evenings, National Prosecco Day – started to encourage fizz lovers to embrace life’s every day celebrations – is likely to delight prosecco lovers up and down UK, with data revealing Brits consume more than a third of all prosecco produced globally last year, making us the top consumer of the fizz worldwide.
