Monday 26th June will see the opening of 100% plant-based restaurant, mallow situated in Wood Wharf, in the heart of Canary Wharf. This will be the second opening from mallow, following its successful launch in Borough Market in November 2021.

The Canary Wharf quayside holds historical importance as the primary port to bring fruit and vegetables from the Canary Islands to London in the 1800s. mallow will open as the only 100% plant-based restaurant in Canary Wharf, celebrating this heritage with its modern and fresh concept, offering dishes that are inspired by flavours and cultures from across the globe. The team focuses on working with a careful selection of smaller, specialist producers and local businesses, to make sure the ingredients used have the least possible impact on the environment and offer the best possible flavour.

The new restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner, offering a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for guests to enjoy. Set across two floors, mallow will serve 150 covers with indoor and outdoor terrace seating available. The restaurant will have a modern and airy feel on the ground floor with large glass windows, letting the light stream in. The walls will be finished with hand painted floral murals in mallow’s signature style, whilst upstairs will offer a moody and intimate dining space, designed with a range of soft pink tones and low lighting.

Head of Food Development for mallow and Mildreds, Sarah Wasserman, will continue to lead on the menu creation, combining hero dishes from Borough Market alongside new additions exclusive to Wood Wharf. Seasonal fruit and vegetables will be the star of the show, with a vibrant selection of small and large plates and handcrafted vegan desserts.

Hero dishes will include small plates such as Spinach Dahi Puri served with lime coconut sambol and blackcurrant tamarind chutney, followed by mains including Whipped feta garden plate with cacao quinoa soil, kalamata crackers and olive caviar and Burnt aubergine muhammara borek, green tabbouleh, baba ganoush cream and ezme. mallow offers a range of handmade artisan desserts that should not be missed, featuring the likes of a Crème brûlée with anise cherries and lemon snap, Mango chai masala tres leches, almond sesame chikki or Strawberry soju truffles to finish.
