Police are appealing for assistance to help trace a vulnerable missing man from Stoke Newington

Police are appealing for assistance to help trace a vulnerable missing man from Stoke Newington.

James Howson, 86, was reported missing after leaving his home address at around 15:00hrs on Friday, 29 June.

Mr Howson suffers from dementia which can leave him in a confused state and officers are concerned for his welfare.

He is a black man, approximately 5ft 8inches tall, of medium build and walks with a shuffle. When last seen Mr Howson was wearing grey trousers, black socks and slippers and ‘golfer’s’ hat.

He is known to travel on buses and sit at random bus stops.

Anyone with information is asked to call police in the Central East Command Unit on 101 quoting ref: 18MIS025918 or tweet @MetCC. Alternatively, call the charity Missing People on 116000.
