This May, Avi will officially open its doors within The Lowndes London luxury hotel in Belgravia, introducing a bold new restaurant concept that blends modern American and French influences with a refined take on nostalgic, crowd-pleasing dishes.
From the team behind the Prince Arthur pub in Belgravia, Avi marks the group’s newest chapter. Since undergoing major refurbishment in 2025 before reopening, Prince Arthur has earned a strong reputation for its exquisite Basque restaurant set inside a classic but refined pub, setting the tone for Avi’s launch this spring.
At Avi, the kitchen is set to transform beloved classics into elevated dishes using premium twists. Designed for sharing, the menu is split into small plates, flatbreads and burgers, home-made pasta, fish, grill and sides.
The small plates comprise the likes of New York Fried Chicken & Caviar and Caviar Fish and Chips, meanwhile the sandwich and burger section includes LA Brioche Noire Lobster Roll, an Entercôte Baguette & Fries and their signature Le Big Mac avec Truffle. If opting for pasta, diners can choose from the likes of a Spicy Tomato Tequila Paccheri or Red Claw Lobster Linguine.
From the ocean, why not choose some Carabineros with a spicy butter, Mozambique Squid on a bet of peri-peri sauce or Sea Bass Tom Yum. And from the grill, guests can enjoy three different types of grilled beef – Cote de Boeuf, Fillet Steak with Smoked Bone Marrow, Australian Wagyu – or indulge in the Truffle Chicken Supreme..
If guests thought the sense of luxury ended with the food, the cocktail menu raises it even further. Avi’s drinks list offers a selection of classic and contemporary cocktails, with a focus on bold flavour combinations. The standout on the menus is The Tsar, featuring Belvedere Vodka topped with caviar, pickled onions and an olive. This sits alongside firm favourites such as Le Jardin Secret (Hendricks Gin, St Germain Elderflower, Kiwi) and the Tropical Flamme (Tequila Reposado, Mango).
Leaning into a French bistrot dining room, complete with rustic wicker chairs, white table cloths, and intimate low lighting, Avi will be a warm and inviting dining room bathed in deep reds and creams alongside navy blue awnings and accents, seating 45 covers. No hotel is complete without a standout bar, with Avi’s cosy corner bar featuring rich, dark wooden panels that are more than inviting to prop up with for a drink or two.
In addition to its all-day dining offering, Avi will introduce a premium breakfast menu tailored to its hotel setting, open to both guests and the public. The menu pairs classic favourites with elevated touches, from artisanal sourdough egg dishes and signature muffins with hollandaise to indulgent options including lobster, trout gravadlax, and Ossietra caviar. Highlights include brioche French toast, shakshuka-style baked eggs, crab brioche, and potato rösti with smoked chutoro, complemented by fresh additions such as avocado and grilled heritage vegetables – offering a sophisticated yet comforting start to the day.
The kitchen is headed up by Joshua Conte who comes from a line up of notable restaurants including The Boathouse in Henley, Heston Blumenthal’s The Crown at Bray, Chiltern Firehouse and The Dorchester. His background is grounded in classic French technique, complemented by Tuscan and Mediterranean influences. Conte aims to create dishes that feel both familiar but refined, which is seen throughout the whole menu with the likes of caviar topping dishes and using premium ingredients.
The launch of Avi marks an exciting new restaurant opening in Belgravia where locals and tourists alike can indulge in nostalgic classics with luxury twists, within the setting of a gorgeous dining room.
