Desiderio N°1, winemakers hailing from Veneto, Italy, marks its launch in the UK with two new sleek, sparkling bottles that are now exclusively available to purchase from Vintner, a modern-day wine merchant on a mission to make it simple for UK wine lovers to broaden their horizons.

Desiderio N°1 prides itself on its passion for winemaking and its meticulous wine-making process.

The grapes for each wine are harvested by hand followed by a destemming process and then a very soft pressing procedure to ensure the perfect balance between acidity and natural sugar for an exceptional taste.

All of the brand’s sparkling wines are made using the Charmat Method, with the bubbles emerging in a secondary fermentation process using a very careful selection of native and live yeasts. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and the wine is bottled under high pressure to maintain its sophisticated effervescence. The wines then remain in the cellar for about a month after bottling and then it’s ready to be popped for any occasion.

Desiderio N°1 Prosecco Brut Millesimato Treviso DOC

Made with 100% Glera grapes
A fresh and elegant, light to medium- bodied and is meant to be consumed in its youth, to enjoy its liveliness and freshness. This crafted Prosecco is sophisticated yet playful, dry yet fruity, bursting with elegantly complex fruity notes of banana and vanilla, intertwined with fresher scents such as lemon and cedar.
Though perfect as an aperitif, this wine pairs well with battered vegetables, fried food, cheeses, cold pasta and serves as an excellent companion for oysters, prawns, fish, truffles, and desserts such as the famous Italian Panettone.

Desiderio N°1 Spumante Rosé Cuvée Prestige Brut

A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio grapes
Featuring a fine and persistent perlage that enhances the fruity aroma in which it is recognised the typical presence of red fruits, especially cherries and sour cherries. On the palate there is an acidic tip typical of the grape variety to which it belongs, the aftertaste carries a hint of cherry.
Excellent as an aperitif, yet great pairing with light appetizers, grilled fish, cold cuts and cheeses.
