Journey into America’s Wild as the diverse landscapes of the U.S. take centre stage at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival
Celebrate America’s Wild and reconnect with nature this summer, when Trailfinders and Visit The USA take visitors on a journey through the landscapes of the U.S. at The RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival from 4 – 9 July.
The America’s Wild show-garden is an intimate experience taking in the sights, sounds and smells of America’s breathtaking landscapes. From the dusty Californian desert to the fiery Aspens of the Colorado forest and wildflower prairies of North Carolina’s sweeping plains, the garden aims to inspire travellers’ adventures to further explore America’s great outdoors.
Oregon and Charleston will both exhibit show gardens alongside America’s Wild, while Austin musicians Natalie Price and Jo James will be performing on the RHS Festival Stage, bringing the smooth sounds of Texas to the U.K., together offering a strong U.S. presence at this year’s garden festival.
Chris Thompson, CEO, Brand USA said: “America’s Wild is a snapshot of the spectacular landscapes that shape the United States. We hope that as visitors wander our garden, it will spark curiosity and inspire adventurers to discover more of the U.S. beyond the gateways and into our great outdoors. Our partnership with Trailfinders showcases both the abundance of nature and a diversity of destinations ready to be explored and enjoyed.”
Sir Michael Gooley CBE, Founder and Executive Chairman, Trailfinders said: “Given the breadth of natural beauty and holiday experiences to be had, it’s no surprise that the USA remains Trailfinders’ No.1 selling destination. Our America’s Wild garden, in partnership with Visit The USA, will highlight the stunning diversity of this great country from East to West, whetting your appetite to book your next visit. With our unrivalled knowledge and expertise, trust Trailfinders to take care of you.”
The America’s Wild garden is designed by the all-female team Jude Yeo, Emily Grayshaw and Imogen Perreau Callf from Inspired Earth, who won RHS Gold last year for their design at The RHS Hampton Court Festival.
After The RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, the America’s Wild show garden presented by Trailfinders and Visit The USA will be relocated to the U.S. Embassy in London and the American Museum & Gardens in Bath. The trees of the ‘forest’ will be transplanted to create a new Aspen grove on the hillside at the American Museum & Gardens, and the desert and prairie planting will be housed in both existing collections. This relocation will provide opportunities for both the general public at the American Museum & Gardens and visiting dignitaries at the U.S. Embassy to take inspiration from the landscapes of the U.S. for years to come.
