OPTICIANS at The Brunswick Centre in Bloomsbury came face to face with creatures from a prehistoric era in the form of the iconic T Rex and towering Brontosaurus during a Jurassic Jungle extravaganza.

Saturday shoppers and the store team from Specsavers Brunswick were enthralled and a little terrified when they encountered creatures who walked the earth during the Jurassic era, over 145 million years ago. Bringing a little bit of history to the day, two rip roaring, live Dino Shows entertained visitors, with crowd participation encouraged.

To celebrate the day’s event the store team was on hand to chat to passers-by about all things ‘eyes and ears’ – helpful when looking out for a marauding dinosaur and its baby dinos.

Sahela Sheikh, ophthalmic director, comments: ‘It was an amazing day, where the dinosaurs came to life here at the Centre.
‘There were lots of families visiting, so we chatted to passers-by about our current offers, contact lenses and eye care in general, including polarised lenses with the sunnier Spring days.’

Parag Patel, retail director at Specsavers Brunswick, says: ‘It was certainly a vibrant atmosphere. The shows were wonderful, and old and young alike were enthralled.

‘It was a great day, plus an opportunity to meet locals and chat to them about all things ‘eyes and ears’. We’re a close-knit community here in Bloomsbury and many businesses like us are keen to offer their support and services.’

For those keen to check their eyesight is in tip top condition, Specsavers Brunswick has two sight test rooms, an audiology room, dedicated diagnostic testing areas and a specific contact lens station offering enhanced facilities to customers. It operates 14 sight clinics a week and an audiology clinic is held every Friday. Opening times are Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6pm, and Sundays from 11am until 6pm.
