Set within the medieval Cellarium beneath one of the UK’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Cellarium Café & Terrace introduces Abbey in Bloom Afternoon Tea, a seasonal experience available throughout the summer, alongside an à la carte menu.
Framed by views of ancient stonework and housed beneath the Cellarium’s soaring glass ceiling, the space blends centuries-old architecture with a calm, light-filled setting in the heart of London. Once part of the Abbey’s 14th-century fabric, the Cellarium was historically where Benedictine monks stored food and drink. Today, it continues that legacy of hospitality — with every purchase supporting the life and work of Westminster Abbey.
Available daily from 12:00, guests can enjoy a traditional Cream Tea priced at £10.00, featuring a pot of tea served with two homemade scones, Cornish clotted cream and Tiptree strawberry jam.
The Cellarium Afternoon Tea is priced at £38.00 per person and presents a refined selection of savoury and sweet dishes inspired by classic British flavours and seasonal ingredients. Guests may enhance their experience with a glass of Chapel Down Classic Brut, England’s sparkling wine, available at £11 per glass or £60 per bottle, offering notes of ripe red apple, peach and subtle brioche.
