12 jobs created as The Harrow arrives in Sutton
The Harrow is set to become Sutton’s latest watering hole this month, as it re-opens its doors on Friday, 25th October following an impressive makeover.
The six-figure refurbishment of the site on the High Street has been completely transformed the site, going out with the old and in with a new urban, industrial style décor with wooden flooring and leather upholstery. Locals will be spoilt for choice when it comes to entertainment, from resident DJ sets at the weekend, to quiz nights every Tuesday and a gin masterclass station to an eye-catching 85-inch TV wall.
The venue will become known for its winning combination of pizza and screenings of all the top sports fixtures, a pairing perfect for an afternoon out. Thanks to the addition of brand-new plasma screens with upgraded HD viewing that provide the ultimate viewing experience for fans, as well as upgraded booth seating and pool tables.
The new and more extensive menu includes a great selection of hand-stretched sourdough pizzas, from the Easy Cheesy and the BBQ Chicken Feast to more unique choices such as the mouth-watering Pizza Cone – which comes rolled and filled with chips, cheese sauce and streaky bacon – and the Sweet Chilli Duck. Sharing plates and burgers are also featured alongside vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. If that wasn’t enough, regular offers such as Margherita Mondays and Fizz Fridays, will help make guests’ money go further whilst finding new favourites to feast upon!
Craft connoisseurs will also be pleased with a choice of several craft beers from Meantime, with a selection of cider lines from Lilley’s also available to quench customers’ thirst. An extensive cocktail menu that features all the retro classics will also be on offer, as well as a wide range of spirits and soft drinks. Those partial to a bit of gin will delight at the pub’s expert gin masterclasses, designed to help guests find their favourite blends.
Sue Quinn, General Manager of The Harrow commented: “It is incredibly exciting to be opening The Harrow to the people of Cheam, and we can’t wait for people to see and sample the new food and drinks menu. With the sporting season in full swing, we’re already looking forward to see the bar come alive with all the atmosphere.”
